    While sitting in the parking lot of the Coral Ridge Animal Hospital of Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies explained to Suzanne Kraus that they were investigating a prescription fraud case and her personal information had been linked to fake prescriptions. The deputy explained to her that the prescriptions were made out to the name “Higgins.”

    Florida Supreme Court action over the past two months includes a bumper crop of discipline cases for South Florida attorneys. Notable cases included Kim Rothstein’s former attorney, Scott Saidel of Boca Raton, who was suspended on a Feb. 22 order. Saidel pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy to commit money laundering, obstruct justice and tamper with a witness. Sentencing is scheduled for June 7. (FSC Case No. SC13-290)
